The funny thing is that today when I went to check on the site this morning, everything is moving MUCH faster now. Coincidence? I don’t think so. In their response they said that I have to call them directly to cancel my account and if there was any possible way to work out my dissatisfaction with their service. Since there is still 4 months left until my service expires I’ll keep my account open until then and if the improved performance is not consistent then I will change to another host when July comes. On their website it also said that they are almost finished with the remaining episodes and I will make those available online later as well once they are done.

The creator of the subs was tonydesu from D-Addicts and, like he stated, these subs are not timed as well as the hardsubbed episodes. I previewed each episode before uploading and the timing wasn’t that bad for most of the episodes. The only one that was really off was episode 7 and that was the only one I had to re-time. Episode 6 and up had their timings done by tianj from D-Addicts and I was a little surprised episode 7 was off that much. But then again, I didn’t use the original 1280×720 RAWS with these subs. The RAWS that I used were extracted from the batch torrent uploaded by lesma and it wasn’t stated anywhere if that batch was made using the original HD RAWS. I tried to get the original RAWS but there weren’t enough seeders available =(

I remember on two occasions, DramaCrazy said they would finish the rest of the series much faster. The first was when episode 6 was released. A few months later, only ONE episode was subbed and that was episode 7. After that they said the rest of the series should be done within the next few days. About two MONTHS later, only episode 8 was released. Episode 8 was done near the beginning of January but their releases were so far and long between I didn’t check for it until last week when Meitantei episode 8 was completed.

DramaCrazy also needs to learn how to stop slapping their logo onto other people’s work. To be honest, I would rather not upload stuff made by DramaCrazy but unfortunately they’re the only ones doing english subs for Hyoryu at the moment. They also need to do better QC for episode 8 as well. The subs definitely need work done on them. DramaCrazy should concentrate more on doing a good job on their own projects instead of spending time stealing work from other groups.

Querbeet on the other hand, did an EXCELLENT job on episode 8 of Meitantei no Okite. On top of that, they don’t get your hopes up and then leave you hanging for months or slap their logo on other people’s work. In fact, I recently talked with the creator of Querbeet, qnhu, and he/she has given me permission to use their subtitles in the next project that I’m working on. I’ll make a post about it and make the downloads available sometime soon. In the meantime, enjoy these two updates!

These HD episodes have REPLACED the SD RAWS and softsubs that were online previously. I don’t plan on uploading the SD version of this series unless someone specifically requests it. In most cases though, the HD episodes can be easily played back if you follow the instuctions found in the Optimization section of the Playback page.
