EasyDrama + Company

Innocent Love HD is now online and ready for download. All credit goes to Queerbeet for providing the translated and timed subs for the HD episodes and the video encoding was taken care of by EasyDrama ourselves. I made a post about Innocent Love SD that was released by Querbeet awhile back as well and I still have those online for download if anyone is interested. I still think Utada’s Eternally remix for the drama is a good song ^_^

It’s been a long time since either of these series have had a new subbed episode released for them and coincidentally they are both on episode 8 in their series. Hyoryu Net Cafe has the longest delay between episodes that I have ever seen. DramaCrazy needs to learn how to keep their word on their projects and the expected release dates.

I remember on two occasions, DramaCrazy said they would finish the rest of the series much faster. The first was when episode 6 was released. A few months later, only ONE episode was subbed and that was episode 7. After that they said the rest of the series should be done within the next few days. About two MONTHS later, only episode 8 was released. Episode 8 was done near the beginning of January but their releases were so far and long between I didn’t check for it until last week when Meitantei episode 8 was completed.

DramaCrazy also needs to learn how to stop slapping their logo onto other people’s work. To be honest, I would rather not upload stuff made by DramaCrazy but unfortunately they’re the only ones doing english subs for Hyoryu at the moment. They also need to do better QC for episode 8 as well. The subs definitely need work done on them. DramaCrazy should concentrate more on doing a good job on their own projects instead of spending time stealing work from other groups.

Querbeet on the other hand, did an EXCELLENT job on episode 8 of Meitantei no Okite. On top of that, they don’t get your hopes up and then leave you hanging for months or slap their logo on other people’s work. In fact, I recently talked with the creator of Querbeet, qnhu, and he/she has given me permission to use their subtitles in the next project that I’m working on. I’ll make a post about it and make the downloads available sometime soon. In the meantime, enjoy these two updates!

I apologize to everyone who tried to access EasyDrama today (and yesterday) but weren’t able to. It seems that the database server that this site is hosted on has been going down (A LOT) lately. FatCow’s up-time is not as high as I hoped it would be. Today and yesterday were not the  first time this has happened either. It happened quite a few times actually during these past few months when I needed to make some site updates and had to wait for FatCow to fix the problem!!! The annual contract ends this April and I’m looking to switch to another host like GoDaddy and the likes so this won’t happen as much. I’m going to remove the recommendation for FatCow’s web hosting from the site. Once again, sorry for the unexpected downtime everybody!

TimeLesSub actually released episodes 7-11 near the end of the December but I haven’t gotten around to uploading it until today ^^;: Been busy with school since the new semester started and the creation of EasyDrama Subs kept me busy as well. Sorry for the late update everyone!

These HD episodes have REPLACED the SD RAWS and softsubs that were online previously. I don’t plan on uploading the SD version of this series unless someone specifically requests it. In most cases though, the HD episodes can be easily played back if you follow the instuctions found in the Optimization section of the Playback page.

Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu is another drama that is already available on the site in SD and recently WroW of D-Addicts (who made the originally subtitles post) gave us permission to use D-Fansubs’s subs. We tried to get permission from D-Fansubs directly but unfortunately they don’t seem to be very active at the moment. Either way, the encodes are now finished and online for you to enjoy!

The main character of this drama, Amemiya Hotaru, is played by the beautiful and well-known Ayase Haruka. It’s pretty interesting to see her play this role because her roles are usually (but not always) more serious like in Byakyuyakou and Sekachu. In this drama though, she plays a more laid back type of person who has two different identities. At work, Hotaru seems like an office lady who is always nice and tidy and gets her work done on time, but at home she is a mess and lays around in training wear and old clothes and does just about nothing at all.

These subs were created by DoReMii fansubs and all credit goes to them for translating this series. It’s been over 2 weeks since I tried contacting them through D-Addicts and their main website but have I yet to receive a response from them about using their subs. It seems like their main focus is in Chinese and other dramas at the moment. If permission is later denied then I will remove the subs from the video and make it available as a separate download.

Update: Episode 9 and 11 are now fixed and available online! Thank you poisondeathray for helping me with this problem!

During this past week I was able to finish re-timing the subs for Bloody Monday episode 9 but later I noticed that episode 9 also has some video flickering issues like episode 11 as well. I use x264 for all of my encodes and have tried several different revisions but nothing seem to be able to fix this problem. I have uploaded a clip of the error for anyone who might be able to solve this.

I have asked a few people who do video encoding including people from D-Addicts as well but they also can’t seem to figure it out. If anyone knows how to solve this please let me know! I would like to finish these 2 episode and make them available as soon as possible. For those who are waiting, episode 9 and 11 WILL be up by the end of the week even if it means switching to another video encoder. Anyone who wishes it to be encoded using x264 and can solve this problem please let me know soon!

It has been brought to my attention that episode 11 had the wrong subtitles muxed with it and after checking the file I found that to be the case. Being an one-person encoding team, a episode or two manage to get by me every once in awhile. Thank you EpsilonX for finding this problem. I think that Bloody Monday was a really good drama and I think that TimeLesSub did a great job for the SD hardsubbed version of it which is also available for download on this site as well. I have previewed all of the episodes using the softsubs with the HD RAWS and everything works fine except for episode 9 which cuts off about the first half minute of the episode causing it to be out of sync with the subs. Episode 11 also has some video flicker which will have to be fixed as well.

I think that TimeLesSub is a great fansub group and that they put alot of effort into their releases and are dedicated fans of Jdrama. That is why I believe that they decided to use the SD version of the whole episode for their encode instead of the partial version of the HD RAW so that the drama would be more complete and I have no complaints at all if that was there decision. I just wanted to give you readers a heads-up so you would know the difference between the two.

I have contacted TimeLesSub about a week ago for permissions to use their subs through darynrose of D-Addicts who made the subtitles post for this drama as well as through TimeLesSub’s website email directly. I know that this group is currently active and is not dead but unfortunately I have yet to receive a reply. Regardless, this drama was so good that I had to encode it. If TimeLesSub later replies and denies permission then I will remove the subtitles from the encodes and have it make it available as a separate download. I am currently in the progress of re-timing the subs for episode 9 for the RAWS provided by wah3388 of D-Addicts and fixing episode 11. I will make both available when they are finished.

LIAR GAME was a pretty good drama and I was a little surprised that there wasn’t an HD sub already made. SacredCultivator of D-Addicts was the original translator of this series and his SD encodes are already available on the site for download. Recently, he has given me permission to use his subs for the HD version of the drama and they are now finished and online for you to enjoy ^_^

Season 2 is currently airing now and is up to episode 7. Right now, I have no plan of encoding this series because SARS-Fansubs is already working on it. From what I know, they already have episodes 1-4 encoded and have finished translating up to episode 6. Since things are already done in a timely manner I don’t see any reason to intrude and can spend more time on other dramas. I have been following season 2 with the RAWS and softsubs and haven’t seen their version yet but I will definitely make them available sometime in the near future if I receive permission.
